What is TFA?
TFA – Toughest Firefighter Alive is an extreme firefighting sport that tests your strength, endurance, technique and mental toughness. Competitors complete a challenging course in full emergency gear, including breathing apparatus – just as they would respond to a real fire.
🏋️ TFA Disciplines
The TFA competition consists of several key disciplines that simulate real-life firefighting situations:
🪜 Climbing to the top Running up the stairs in full gear – a simulation of climbing to the upper floors of a burning building. Each step is a fight against gravity, the weight of the gear, and your own breath.
🔨 Hammer Throwing The competitor uses repeated blows with a heavy hammer to move a weight a specified distance. This discipline simulates breaking through obstacles in a real-life impact – doors, walls or debris.
🧑🚒 Dummy rescue Pulling an 80kg dummy over a set distance. Simulating the rescue of an injured person from the scene of an accident - one of the most physically demanding parts of the entire competition.
👨🚒 Full emergency gear The entire race is run in a complete emergency suit with helmet, gloves and breathing apparatus. The gear weighs approximately 25–30 kg and significantly increases the difficulty of each discipline.

🐑🔥 What about Fire Sheep?
Our team competes in TFA competitions all over the country and abroad. In 2026 you will meet us in Lübeck (Germany), Lens (Belgium) or Halbergmoos (Germany). We train hard, compete hard and prove that even sheep can be dangerous - when there is fire under their feet.
